Archax introduces real-time USDC payments for tokenized securities on Hedera, pushing institutional adoption of blockchain-based financial products.
Archax has launched a new system for real-time yield payments on tokenized securities using the Hedera blockchain, marking another step forward for institutional adoption of blockchain-based financial products. The platform now enables continuous distribution of USDC-denominated interest payments, a significant improvement over traditional periodic payouts.
The system is designed to automatically update cash flows as tokenized securities change hands between wallets. This means that yield payments, such as interest or revenue-sharing arrangements, follow ownership in real time. According to Archax CEO Graham Rodford, this innovation reduces market inefficiencies and opens up new possibilities for programmable financial products.
Unlike most tokenized securities, which still mimic traditional financial products with periodic settlements, Archax’s continuous yield system offers a more efficient alternative. The company also builds on its earlier work with Pool Tokens, which bundle multiple tokenized assets into a single on-chain instrument. Archax’s platform currently hosts over $300 million in tokenized assets from six major asset managers, according to Hedera.
Tokenized Assets Gain Institutional Traction
Archax’s latest move is part of a broader institutional push into tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). Yield-bearing tokenized securities, such as money market funds and Treasury-backed products, have seen rapid adoption, especially as blockchain infrastructure matures. Notably, JPMorgan recently filed to launch a tokenized money market fund on Ethereum, and BlackRock is set to roll out similar products, reflecting growing interest in integrating blockchain with traditional finance.
The appeal of tokenized securities lies in their ability to offer 24/7 trading, fractional ownership, and instant settlement, all while maintaining compliance with existing securities laws. The U.S. SEC has been clear that tokenized securities remain subject to the same regulatory requirements as their traditional counterparts, a stance reiterated in January 2026.
Institutional adoption is driving market growth. Tokenized RWAs have added $6.5 billion in value since early 2025, and according to Citi, the tokenized securities market could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030. Platforms like Archax, which combine blockchain technology with regulatory compliance, are well-positioned to benefit from this growth trajectory.
What’s Next?
The introduction of real-time yield payments by Archax highlights how blockchain is reshaping the financial landscape. By improving liquidity, reducing inefficiencies, and enabling programmable compliance, tokenized securities are becoming an increasingly attractive option for institutional investors.
Looking ahead, further developments from Archax could include integrating additional asset classes or expanding partnerships with financial institutions. Meanwhile, the tokenized securities sector as a whole is set to grow rapidly, with major players like DTCC and BlackRock planning significant initiatives by 2027. For investors, the evolution of tokenized assets offers both opportunities and challenges, particularly in navigating the complex regulatory framework that governs this space.
