SegaSwap, a decentralized automated market maker (AMM) built on Solana and Sonic SVM, has closed a $10 million seed round led by Sonic SVM and 10K Ventures.

The funding will support deeper liquidity on Sonic SVM, introduce new pool types, enhance analytics, and expand incentives for liquidity providers.

Funding and Expansion Plans

The capital will allow SegaSwap to enhance routing efficiency, implement broader incentive programs, and ship tooling for teams launching assets on the platform.

The protocol’s “earning stack” includes liquidity provider (LP) farming, ecosystem rewards, and Sega Points, designed to attract long-term participation and sustain user engagement.

SegaSOL: Liquid Staking Meets DeFi

A key development is SegaSOL, a liquid-staked SOL (LST) token that allows holders to earn staking yield while using the same capital for swaps, liquidity pools, and farming.

By preserving staking rewards while enabling active capital deployment, SegaSOL functions as a “yield amplifier,” improving efficiency for DeFi participants.

Two-Tier Pool System and ACM Integration

To manage risk and reward, SegaSwap plans a two-tier pool structure on Sonic SVM. Main Pools will host established assets, while Attention Pools will accommodate newer, higher-volatility tokens.  Pools can “level up” based on trading volume and total value locked (TVL), with most trading fees flowing back to liquidity providers. Attention Pools are designed to allocate a larger share of fees to compensate for higher risk.

SegaSwap also integrates with Sonic SVM’s Attention Capital Market (ACM) protocol, which links visible on-chain activity and engagement to reward allocation. By tying incentives to actual market participation rather than short-term speculation, ACM encourages sustainable liquidity growth.

The news comes as Sonic SVM’s ecosystem is rapidly expanding, spanning DeFi, NFTs, gaming, and meme tokens.

The platform operates as a high-performance Layer 2 solution on Solana, enabling scalable, sovereign game economies and composable applications. Strategic tokenomics, including buy-and-lock mechanisms and ecosystem incentives, aim to align developers and users with long-term growth..

Why This Matters

SegaSwap’s integration into Sonic SVM positions it as a leading DeFi application within the network, combining liquid staking, user engagement incentives, and advanced AMM functionality.

People Also Ask:

What is SegaSwap?

SegaSwap is a decentralized automated market maker (AMM) built on Solana and Sonic SVM. It enables permissionless liquidity pools, token swaps, and yield-generating opportunities for users.

What is SegaSOL?

SegaSOL is a liquid-staked SOL (LST) token introduced by SegaSwap. It allows users to earn staking rewards while using the same capital in swaps, liquidity pools, and farming, effectively acting as a “yield amplifier.”

How does SegaSwap’s two-tier pool system work?

SegaSwap features Main Pools for established assets and Attention Pools for newer, higher-volatility tokens. Pools can “level up” based on trading volume and total value locked (TVL), with most fees returning to liquidity providers. Attention Pools allocate a larger share of fees to compensate for higher risk.

What is the Attention Capital Market (ACM) integration?

SegaSwap integrates with Sonic SVM’s ACM protocol, which links on-chain activity and engagement to rewards. This mechanism encourages sustainable liquidity rather than short-term, speculative trading.

Why is SegaSwap important for the Solana ecosystem?

By combining liquid staking, engagement-driven incentives, and advanced AMM features, SegaSwap supports capital efficiency, deeper liquidity, and sustainable growth within the growing Sonic SVM ecosystem.
